Our story
About us
A family resort with tradition
Since 1992, we have been creating a place where you can relax by one of the most beautiful lakes in the Bieszczady Mountains. We started humbly — with a campsite on former agricultural land and a reception in a military tent. Today, after over 30 years of continuous operation, we offer comfortable apartments and a modern campsite with full amenities. We have run the resort as a family from the very beginning — for us, it is not just work, but above all a passion and way of life.

Timeline
Our history
For over 30 years, this place has been full of life and constantly evolving. Over the years, we have hosted thousands of guests — families with children, organized groups, summer camp participants, and local schools that eagerly chose us as their field trip destination. Fishing competitions were also held here, fitting naturally into the peaceful character of the area. A legendary mobile shop on wheels drove around the resort, supplying guests with essentials and becoming a symbol of vacation life. While much has changed — infrastructure, accommodation standards, and our offering — one thing has remained constant: the family character of this place. Children who once ran between the tents now return with their own families, choosing both the campsite and our comfortable apartments.
Construction begins
The first year of building the resort. Water supply installation. The reception was housed in a military tent. The site was former agricultural land - among the first tents you could still find remnants of the harvest. As we joke: "a campsite with meals included".

First guests
Construction of the reception building. On June 28, 1993, we welcomed our first guests - a date we remember to this day. We also began planting trees - conifers and oaks that over the following years would shape the pitches for caravans, campers, and tents.

Electricity arrives
Bringing electricity to the resort grounds. A temporary fence made of poles marked the boundaries of our territory - humble beginnings, but full of plans for the future.

First playground
Building the first playground for children. From the start, we knew that families would be an important part of our community - but we have open doors for everyone seeking peace by the lake.

Infrastructure development
Construction of provisional catering facilities. Leveling the terrain for tents and caravans. The meeting spot for bonfires was a military surplus parachute stretched and suspended on poles - a true symbol of those times.

Permanent fencing of the resort. Increasing the number of pitches with electrical hookups. Renovation of bathrooms and toilets - raising standards step by step.

Shower races
Before the tokens came along, showers worked with a key - you paid per minute, but the first two minutes were free. That was enough to spark real competition among guests: who could finish washing in the free time? Legendary races with soap in hand became part of resort history. Today we have a token system - a solution often discussed in reviews, which raises eyebrows at first, but makes sense: it saves water, while giving you plenty of comfortable minutes per token - no rushing, no races. Ecology with a human touch.
4-person apartments
Construction of the first 4-person apartments. A new chapter in the resort history - comfortable accommodation with lake views.

Catering expansion
Expansion and enlargement of catering facilities - expansion of the kitchen and restaurant hall. In the following years, we gradually expanded our watercraft fleet to about 40 units and invested in "invisible" infrastructure: paving, drainage, and technical improvements enhancing guest comfort.

Bob (2005-2025)
For 20 years, Bob was an inseparable part of Cypel. Between naps, he greeted guests at the gate, accompanied walks by the lake, and devotedly supervised every picnic from a safe distance. The resort mascot, an icon for regulars, and the most wonderful four-legged family member. He lived with us through almost two-thirds of this place's history. In September 2025, he crossed the rainbow bridge. And the memories — and paw prints on Cypel's paths — remain.
We keep moving forward
Expansion of the recreational gazebo, new electric-powered boats in the rental fleet, facade renovation of the bathroom and shower building at the campsite, and minor aesthetic improvements throughout the resort. Another year, another round of upgrades.
